Nikki Graf (She/Her) DVM, CVA

  • Co-founder of Kenton Animal Hospital
  • Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine
  • Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist
Nikki is a Pacific Northwest native and was fortunate to have been raised appreciating the amazingly diverse outdoors that we have. She completed her undergraduate degree (Pre-med with a Chemistry minor) in Bellingham, WA attending Western Washington University. Her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine was completed at Washington State University in 2010. After graduation, she completed an internship in Emergency and Critical Care at Dove Lewis Emergency Animal Hospital. She fell in love with the challenges and fast-paced environment of Emergency Medicine and continue to work in ER/Critical care referral hospitals. Emergency Medicine is not only a challenge of rapid assessments in stressful situations, but also challenges the ability to communicate in an effective and compassionate manner. Nikki gets inspired by the human-animal bond that is profoundly evident in pets seen on an emergency basis as well as with the teams that help care for them. She became certified in veterinary acupuncture in a search for alternative modalities for pain management as well as a more holistic practice of medicine with emphasis on preventative health care. She is excited to continue her journey in Veterinary Medicine in a general practice setting where long-lasting relationships with clients and their pets will be nourished. Outside of work, Nikki enjoys surfing, snowboarding, cooking and exploring the Pacific Northwest with her partner, Andrew, and their terrier mutt, Roger.

For the past several years Emma has worked as a dog walker, dog sitter, and at a boarding and daycare facility which temporarily placated her deep need for a dog until she adopted her own baby boy. Uri (He/Him)

  • Veterinary Assistant
Originally, I was born in Mexico City, Mexico and was brought to the U.S. as a child when I was eight. I was living in Southern California for most of my life up until two years ago when I made the great move to beautiful Portland, Oregon. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always had a passion for animals. You can always find me watching endless hours of Animal Planet. Steve Irwin was one of my idols as a child and I still look up to him. Growing up, I always had the dream of working in some way with wildlife and about four years ago I began working as a veterinary assistant. That’s when I learned my true calling in life. I love everything about the veterinary field. From taking care of sick and injured pets to educating people about how to take care of their new puppy. Currently finishing my undergrad at PSU and I hope that one day I can go to veterinary school to become a veterinarian myself.
